Coupon 101

Some people think that coupon shopping can be overwhelming, time consuming and a   waste of time. The truth is…it can be overwhelming and time consuming, but it is definitely NOT a waste of time. Just make sure you do your homework before you go shopping. For example: Find out what stores in your area double coupon. Make sure you know what your store's coupon policies are. If you’re not sure, talk to the stores customer service representative and ask questions. Remember,  there are no stupid questions. Here are some things you need to know before you get into using coupons. After you finally get the hang of it, you'll be glad you did!
The first thing to do is "Organize" your coupons. Having your coupons organized will make your coupon experience much easier. Make sure you use an organizer that best suits you, whether it is a binder, coupon jacket(s) or a notebook.
Learn to wait... Be patient when using your coupons. Wait for the sales and deals that come up before using the coupons. Shop at different stores, that have different items on sale. Always make a shopping list. Never go without one!
DO NOT IMPULSE BUY! In other words, if you don't need it, it's not on sale or you don't have a coupon for it... DON'T BUY IT!!
Compare prices on items from different stores. Take the time and effort, because it does get easier.
Stock pile. For example: if your store has an item on sale, and you have multiple coupons for this item.... buy many, especially if they're for double coupons. Always
bring your binder with all your coupons in it. When you're at your market of choice, check out the "discount shelf". When there is an item that has been
marked down, you still have the availability to use your coupons and you could possible walk away paying nothing for that particular item
.

Grocery Store Discounts

Don't forget, to ALWAYS check out the discount shelves the stores
have to offer.  Albertsons or Vons or most grocery stores usually have some good discounted items.  Sometimes you will come across some deals that are too good to pass up.  When I went shopping on the other day, I strolled past the cart of  "discounts" and saw that Ralph's Market had their name brand Mustard on sale for, get this ladies and gentlemen.....$ .32 cents.
What a deal! I bought them all and  I may not need Mustard for a couple of years, even though  Mustard only last a year (unopened),  I still couldn’t pass up a deal like that! The store brand can sometimes be as good as a name brand.  Being "frugal” (cheap has such a bad ring to it) can be a lot of fun and as I always say, what they don't know won't hurt them,
